From shooting celebrities in -40 degree arctic conditions to code red vehicles in 110 degrees desert heat Jake had always brought good energy on location and a creative eye for the ‘deliverables’ while at the same time shooting gems on the fringes of each day which will stand the test of time for us all.

Jake... you are an absolute star.

Everyone knows you are absolutely at the top of your profession. That's a universally known fact. But what some might not fully realize is just how fucking great you are as a person. Your presence on a job is a monumental blessing. The positive tone you set, the unified and strong manner in which you run your department, the way in which you conduct yourself and jovful interactions you have with the crew and cast is as special as your undoubted ability with a camera in your hands. One cannot speak any more highly of you and find myself touting your brilliance to all and sundry behind your back. I am on a personal mission to ensure you are on as many jobs with me as possible and guaranteeing that everyone gets to experience the monumental benefits of having you on a TEAM.

Guy Fogaard

Legendary 1st AD

Having Jake on board for our Toyota Tacoma shoot turned out to be a fantastic decision. Not only is he an exceptional photographer, but he also effortlessly worked alongside the film unit to capture stunning stills. His collaboration and keen eye for detail truly took our project to the next level!

Craig Brandon

VP, Creative Director , Saatchi & Saatchi

Jake shot Audi’s Super Bowl campaign alongside my team and crafted billboard ready imagery that stunned our client. As a commercial director, working with a photographer like Jake on set is a true pleasure - an honest collaboration built on trust and mutual respect. Jake’s vision is next level.

Wes Walker

Director, Iconoclast

Jake Dyson is one of my favorite human beings to be on set with. He’s the most collaborative Swiss Army knife out there, anyone working with him can expect the best.

Andrew Schneider

Director + EP, Porch House

Thirty-five years.

I’ve been doing automotive advertising for over thirty-five years and cannot count the number of video and still shoots I have been on, but the photographic experience with Jake Dyson was a standout and memorable one.

Jake not only captured incredible images while being compromised by having to shadow the film production and never really getting his “own time” with the trucks, he did it with an enthusiasm and dedication that made the experience incredible. I look forward to working with Jake when we give him sole control of a production.

I can say without exaggeration, Jake delivered imagery that far exceeded expectations and impressed the agency and client immediately while onsite and then back at in Detroit.

Jake will definitely be someone we will be going back to for future work.

 Andy Ozark

Creative Director, Leo Burnett

I worked with Jake on the Army shoot for DDB in LA. Jake brought excitement, passion and professionalism to the set. He is super passionate about his work, which shows through the imagery that we received; such beautiful extraordinary work. He captured what we needed and then some. Jake was a real pleasure to work with and would definitely work with him again.

Carla McLaughlin-Nieto

Sr. Producer, DDB Chicago

Working with Jake is an immense pleasure. He knew exactly how to make me feel comfortable to capture the work I do in an authentic way, all the while finding the perfect light.  He is fun, professional, friendly, adaptable, and the pictures that came out of our time together have allowed me to effectively communicate what I do with others in a clear, beautiful, and compelling way.  I'm so thankful to have met Jake, and will cherish the pictures he took of me and my work for the years to come.

National Geographic Explorer & Ecologist

Jake Dyson is a skilled and creative photographer and working with him in dynamic landscapes in Iceland was exceptional. The images he created are world-class and in high demand. Jake Dyson will take a project to the next level.

M Jackson, Ph.D.
National Geographic Explorer & TED Fellow

Jake is a prime example of the new breed of commercial photographers. The ability to create and shoot epic imagery is no longer the only criteria for successful work. You have to shoot simultaneously around film crews. You have to provide imagery that can be used in multiple mediums. You have to excel knowing you might not have two hours to set up a shot. You have to seek out compositions that will inspire an art director, an agency and a client. Jake excels in all of these areas. And he’s a super nice guy!

Parker Bell
Art Director, THE RICHARDS GROUP

Jake is a new school shooter with an old soul. His vision is unwavering and paired with his collaborative nature he consistently pushes the team to greater depths.
